Our Data Sources

EmployerCheck uses only official, publicly available data sources to generate employer health scores and reports. We do not rely on user reviews, anonymous tips, or unverified information. Every data point in our system is traceable to a named UK government register or accreditation body.

Data Freshness

Company data from Companies House is cached locally and refreshed every 24 hours. When you view a report, we check whether the cache is stale and pull fresh data if needed — so you always see the latest available information.

Accreditation and enforcement datasets are imported on a regular schedule (see update frequencies above). Gender pay gap data is updated annually when employers submit new reports to GOV.UK.

Limitations: We can only show what companies have filed. If an employer's accounts are overdue or filings are incomplete, this is itself a signal that is reflected in the score. We do not create or infer data that doesn't exist in official registers.
